Youth Consultation Results Are Out!Galway Community Circus conducted an in-depth youth consultation with children, young people and their communities in early 2022 as part of the planning process for our 2022-2027 strategic plan. The purpose of this consultation was to gather information on the needs and wishes of our participants towards the direction of our programmes, analyse possible barriers for participation and provide recommendations on our future development.

Galway Community Circus receives Arts Council Open Call funding for 2022, celebrates 20th anniversaryWe are delighted to kick off our 20th anniversary year as a proud recipient of the Arts Council Open Call funding for 2022, receiving €171,150 for our LifeLine project. LifeLine will take place on 16th July 2022 and will feature a cast of 150 people from all walks of life that will perform Europe’s largest highwire spectacle over the River Corrib and Claddagh Basin in the heart of Galway City.

Become a European Solidarity Corps Volunteer at Galway Community Circus!We are seeking four European Solidarity Corps (ESC) motivated volunteers for the 2021/2022 school year (September 2021-July 2022). The volunteers will work in youth, social and adaptive circus with children and young people aged 3-18 and adults 19+. There is also the opportunity to work in and learn arts administration.

What to look forward to this Spring TermDue to new additional Covid-19 guidelines for the youth work sector we are not be able to run any physical activities under the current restrictions. We have made the difficult decision to postpone our Spring term by four weeks to 22nd February - 4th of July 2021. Despite this the Circus continues to innovate to enable the ongoing, gradual evolution that is occurring in our activities, operations, and creations. Read more...
