Whether you practice on your own or with a group, it’s a great way to improve your balance, coordination, and teamwork. These skills help make your performances smoother, more creative, and a lot of fun to watch!

Youth Unicycle & Stilts (ages 11-17)

Back by popular demand! This special skills class is for young people interested in honing their skills on a unicycle, stilts, or both with walk-about or performance opportunities. Unicycling improves balance and coordination, concentration, patience and reflexes, and is a great form of exercise, working your core, legs and arms. Stilts are a great form of exercise that engages your core muscles, improves balance, strengthens leg muscles, and enhances overall coordination. This skill also improves concentration, balance, and coordination. And the best part – you get to see the world from a different perspective - up high!

Youth Tightwire (ages 11-17)

Tightwire walking is a circus skill that focuses on balance, control, and concentration. Whether on a traditional tightrope or a low slackline, it helps build core strength, focus, and confidence. This skill turns a simple rope into a platform for creative expression and exciting performances.

Youth Hula Hoop (ages 11-17)

Spin, twirl, and learn the art of hula hooping! In this fun and energetic class, young people will explore hula hoop skills for the waist, hands, and beyond, building coordination, rhythm, balance, and creativity along the way. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some hoop tricks up your sleeve, this class will get you moving, laughing, and developing exciting new skills.

Funambulism – Tightwire Walking with a Balancing Pole (ages 15+)

Step onto the wire and discover the art of funambulism - tightwire walking with a balancing pole. More than just a physical skill, funambulism is a powerful mindfulness practice that promotes mental and physical wellbeing, helping you develop focus, self-belief, and resilience. You’ll start by learning the essential techniques of balance, posture, and controlled movement and gradually move to higher wires. Walking on a wire may look effortless, but it requires patience, courage, and trust in yourself - making it a symbolic and rewarding way to overcome challenges and build confidence.

Beginner Acrobatics (ages 18+)

Starting this autumn term, we’re separating our Acrobatics classes by skill level. The new class this year is for beginners, or those who haven’t taken an acrobatics class with us before. Acrobatics is an expressive, dynamic circus skill that improves self-awareness, adaptability and empathy. It’s also lots of fun! Acrobatics is a base discipline in circus – it helps with all other disciplines. This class includes warmups, workouts and the basics of acrobatics. Participants will train in hand-eye coordination, balance, posture, flexibility, and strength. This class is suitable for all body types and fitness levels.

Adult Aerial Hoop (ages 18+)

Whether you’re brand new to aerial hoop or ready to expand on your basics, this class will help you build strength, skills, and confidence in the air. You’ll work on mounts, shapes, and transitions, starting with the fundamentals and progressing toward more dynamic and strength-based moves as you grow. We’ll explore sequences and flow, both in and under the hoop, while developing grip strength, body awareness, and control. Gentle spinning will be introduced and developed, helping you find your balance, control, and joy in motion. All in a fun, safe, and supportive environment!

Adult Aerial Trapeze (ages 18+)

You’ll start with the fundamentals of static trapeze, learning how to mount, balance, pose, and move with control and grace. You will focus on making shapes on the equipment and moving through sequences, gradually building your skills as you get stronger and more confident. Along the way, you’ll also develop the strength, coordination, and body awareness that support safe and expressive aerial movement.

Adult Aerial Silks

Discover the strength, grace and artistry of aerial silks in this fun and empowering class. You’ll learn how to climb, wrap and move confidently on the silks while building strength, flexibility and body awareness.
