Today is an auspicious day for us as we reach the date that would have been our kick-off point for the major funambulism spectacle across the River Corrib, in the Claddagh, as part of Galway European Capital of Culture 2020. Naturally, we are not where we thought we would be, but in the true spirit of circus and funambulism, we practice our patience and resilience and continue to put our best foot forward.
This month there are balancing camps and workshops happening in the field in Shantalla, for anyone who may like to practice and try out the skills. We have also published an Impact Report on the Wires Crossed journey so far, downloadable here.
We would like to thank our funders, partners, circus schools, participants and supporters who have made this the extraordinary dream that it is. We look forward to what 2021 brings, and the continuation of what has been a huge adventure for so many.
