Open Call: Finnish or Finland-based Artist/Trainer Residency in Ireland

Galway Community Circus is looking for a Finnish or Finland-based circus artist/trainer for a fully paid 3-week teaching residency in Ireland in November-December 2021.

Are you:

-Passionate about inspiring and empowering young people through circus arts
-Used to working in a youth circus setting as a circus trainer/artist
-Enthusiastic about sharing your skills with our youth members and teaching team to upskill and inspire us
-In need of a new adventure on the west coast of Ireland by the Atlantic Ocean

The residency will take place between 23 November - 12 December 2021 (18 working days). The selected person will deliver workshops for Galway Community Circus youth members and our trainer team with a specific focus on creativity and show development in a youth circus setting where high artistic quality, youth voice and an inclusive, safe and nurturing process is paramount. The residency will culminate with our annual Christmas youth circus performance on Sunday 12th
December.

Terms


Artist will be paid a fee of €4,500 plus travel (up to €700), accommodation in Galway (up to €1,650) and €30 daily per diem. The artist will have access to our training space outside class times (minimum 3 hours per day in the main hall with further access to a small dance studio).
