Three workshops focusing on gaining a better understanding of how dynamic technique works; working on all manner of beats, exploring new catch release tricks - and what are the fundamental principles that make them work.

We may also use safety lines as a tool to try exercises, and try some bigger tricks!

Each session will inform the next, but will also work as stand alone sessions. The first session will look at fundamentals, which are essential for beginners and advanced students alike. In the second and third sessions, we’ll look at tricks and sequences.

Workshop 1 - The fundamentals - drills and drops - Beginner to Advanced

This workshop will be suitable for beginners right through to advance. It’s about the basics, the theory – in as much detail as possible.
We will be focusing on the fundamentals of dynamics. Exploring some drills to really refine our understanding of what shapes and theory we need to truly nail the tricks we want to achieve. How do dynamics really work? How can we achieve these tricks with accuracy and comfort?

Workshop 2 - Tricks and treats - Intermediate to Advanced

How fundamentals guide the tricks. This workshop will be working at a slighter higher standard than workshop 1.
In the second workshop, we will look at applying the theory and drills to some fun tricks. Using the language we have curated in the previous workshop we will look at a multitude of twists and drops.

Workshop 3 - Sequences, timings and tempos - Intermediate to Advanced

The final workshop will conclude all of the work we have been doing. We will look at linking some of the tricks we’ve been researching, and by joining them together we will look at just how important tempos are in dynamics. How can one crazy trick inform the next? How can we take our dynamics and give them a unexpected twist?
