Join the Galway Community Circus Youth Ensemble
Registration of interest is now open for our Youth Ensemble. This is an exciting opportunity for Galway Community Circus members aged 15-24 to train and create a show that will premiere at our Circus Education Conference in November 2022.
Galway Community Circus have been awarded the Youth Ensemble Scheme grant from Arts Council Ireland toward the creation of a Youth Ensemble show that will premiere at our Circus Education: Creativity and Inclusion in Learning Conference on 18-19 November at the O’Donoghue Centre NUI Galway. The conference is in partnership with the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle (ISACS) Network and NUI Galway.
If you or your child are aged 15-24 and are a current member of our Youth Circus programme, you are eligible to apply. There will be extra training for creative and skill development towards a finished show from September to November 2022. These trainings will be provided on the weekends and the October midterm break, so please do consider your availability as there will need to be a sizable commitment from participants.
This is an incredible opportunity to develop skills towards a professional circus show and continue to awe the public with the power of circus.
