About Cruinniú na nÓg

Cruinniú na nÓg is a nationwide celebration of creativity designed for young people under 18. It's a day to explore your talents, try something new, and express yourself through a wide range of free workshops, performances, and events across Ireland.

Shaping Ireland's Nightlife

Galway City is one of 9 pilot cities and towns nationally leading in creating a night-time economy action plan. These Cruinniú Lates events are designed especially for young people, offering a safe and exciting environment to socialise and enjoy diverse experiences. They are a direct result of young people’s voices being heard. Inspired by the Night-Time Economy Taskforce Report (2021) and youth-led workshops, these events demonstrate the power of young people in shaping the future of Ireland’s nightlife.

“We're thrilled to bring these exciting opportunities to Galway's young creatives," says Kate Howard, Galway's Night-Time Economy Advisor. "Cruinniú Lates is about empowering young people to shape their own vibrant nightlife experiences."

Adam Stoneman, Galway City Council Creative Communities Engagement Officer, adds, "Cruinniú na nÓg celebrates the boundless creativity of young people, and we're excited to see what amazing talents emerge at these events."

Cruinniú Lates is supported by Galway City Council, Creative Ireland, and funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media.

Mark your calendars for the evening of Saturday 15 June and let's make Cruinniú Lates unforgettable!
