Join us for an exciting day of circus activities at our Circus in the Park event - as part of our 5th annual Mayhem Youth Circus Festival! The Mayhem Youth Circus Festival is Galway Community Circus's annual festival celebrating circus.
Circus in the Park
Circus in the Park will take place in and around our big top tent at Father Burke Park! The day will include workshops featuring introductory circus activities, aerial and funambulism, as well as two performances by professional clown Fraser Hooper.
Father Burke Park is located on Father Griffin Road opposite the fire station. No on-site parking is available, but city centre parking is located nearby.
Most events are offered free of charge thanks to our funding partners Arts Council Ireland, Erasmus+ and Galway City Council and Creative Ireland.
Please note: Photography and videography will be taken on-site. If you wish for you and your child not to be photographed, please talk to the team on the day.

Circus Workshops
Roll up and try your hand at circus skills in our big top tent! Join our workshops featuring introductory circus activities, aerial and funambulism. These workshops will be co-taught by youth members from Circusful and In Your Space as part of the Circus Explored Youth Exchange.
11am - 1pm and 2-4pm:
FREE mixed skills circus workshops, all ages. Drop-in, no booking required.
11am - 1pm and 2-4pm:
FREE aerial workshops in groups of 4 (15 minutes per group). All ages. Sign up for your slot on-site at the info tent.
11am - 1pm and 2-4pm:
Funambulism workshops for ages 10 years+. €5, pre-booking required. 8 spaces available in each block.
Funny Business with Fraser Hooper
Guaranteed giggles galore from internationally award-winning funnyman Fraser Hooper. This hilarious show features a stunt duck, a human fish, eccentric dancing, and the silliest boxing match you have ever seen. Get a ringside seat for a belly aching knockout performance! These performances are funded by Galway City Council and Creative Ireland.
