Wires Crossed
Wires Crossed is a European wide community participation project, revolving around ‘funambulism’-the art of tightwire walking using a balancing pole.
In 2017 Galway Community Circus was awarded capital funding from the department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs for the development of the current Circus Hall into a performance venue.
Galway Community Circus has outgrown the existing facility and is currently seeking a second venue to cater for the needs and growth of the Youth and Social Circus programme and the legacy of Wires Crossed. We are working with Galway City Council in a long-term capacity to find a permanent home for the Circus School-a dedicated space designed to maximise the potential of youth and social circus in Ireland- which we aim to realise by 2023.

We believe in circus for all, and wish for circus to be part of wellness, learning and fun for all ages and levels of ability and disability.
